There are many popular foods that many believe to be healthy and great for weight loss, but which are actually saboteurs of the diet.
Below are listed some foods that are apparently healthy but that in fact you have to stay away from them if you want to lose weight:
1. WHOLE WHEAT BREAD
Wait, don’t worry. The bread truly integral is good, because it contains some amount of fiber. But don’t eat the whole wheat bread as if it were a totally harmless. Don’t eat it at breakfast, pre-workout, post-workout, in the snack.
But yes, eat bread sparingly and sometimes replace it with oats, potatoes, cassava, because these foods have a reduced amount of simple carbohydrates (simple sugar).
PS: The excess sugar is promoter of weight gain and accumulation of body fat. This sugar is not only found in soft drinks, ice creams, desserts, is also found in refined foods, rich in simple carbohydrates such as white bread, white rice, pasta. So choose the best source of carbohydrates and don’t abuse its consumption.
2. FRUIT JUICE
Who never heard a natural fruit juice is healthy? Yes, fruit juices are not this sea of health and when it comes to weight loss, they will slow you down and keep you from losing weight.
The fruits are rich in sugar, and that is fine, the problem starts when the juice is extracted from the fruit and despised the pulp and peel that are rich in fiber, which helps in weight loss.
When we eat a purely sugar rich food, the body releases large amounts of insulin in the blood, all to be able to control this sudden and excessive intake of sugar in the blood, which also promote the accumulation of fat in the body and blocking burning fat already stored.
However, if you choose not to consume fruit juice, but the whole fruit, you will have a help of fiber present in pulp and Peel, that fiber will help the sugar to enter more slowly into the bloodstream and there will be minor release of insulin, and consequently less chance of fat storage and greater chances of burning of stored fat.
So instead of opting for the juice, choose to eat all the fruit.
3. COFFEES AND SWEETENED TEAS
Both coffees as well as sugar-sweetened teas and any other sweetener sabotage your fat burning. Avoid sweetening your coffees and teas.
4. CEREAL BAR
For a long time the industrialized cereal bar was seen as a good food when the subject was weight loss. Industrialized cereal bars are purely sugar. Sugar in excess is accumulation of fat.
If you eat an industrialized cereal bar as a snack, start by taking it out of your diet and replace it with really healthy snacks such as fruit, nuts, chocolate with at least 80% cocoa in it, or even make your own cereal bar at home with healthier ingredients and much less sugar.
